I found the cure to worry about taxes and tariffs. It works, even though I have seen a lot of worry and sensationalism in the news and deep divisions among friends concerning opinions about taxes, tariffs, and politics. In our partnership with Broken Yoke Publishing, we have an order of printed World English Bibles about to be shipped from Europe to Colorado. The last time we did that, there was no tariff, but now there is a 20% tariff. But new tariffs are no surprise to God. I am not scared or worried about it. That is because we serve the same Jesus Christ who told people to “give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s.” I trust Jesus to provide whatever it takes to obey Him, even if it comes in unexpected ways, like a fish’s mouth.
Please Keep Praying
Thank God that:
- We celebrate over 445 million Scripture deliveries in 1,376 Bible translations! (6 of those translations were small portions in indiginous languages of Australia that were added this last week.)
- Wind has shifted, and the vog (volcanic smog) from Kilauea’s current eruption has blown out to sea, away from us.
- I was able to solve a problem with the Sword Project repository on eBible.org that caused a few Bible modules to not be installable on several Bible apps.
Please pray for the following aspects of our ministry:
- Improving the automation of imports from the Digital Bible Library
- App development
- Web site upgrades for eBible.org, Solomons.Bible, and Baebol.org.
- Computer security
- Bible translation consulting
- Bible translation processing for posting on eBible.org and sister sites
- Provision for a new Bible printing project with lower cost per book, but more books in a print run
Please pray for our family:
- Michael to get relief after he gets surgery on his nose & sinuses (currently scheduled for April 22)
- All of us to stay healthy
- Our children to faithfully walk with God
- Lori to finish this quarter teaching at King Kekaulike High School well
How can we pray for you, today?
May God bless you!
Michael & Lori Johnson
