Thanking God for you!

I have totally lost count of the many thanks we get for the World English Bible and for the many other Bible translations that we distribute. I usually don’t pass those on, because (1) I’m hesitant to ask permission to do so from everyone who sends them, (2) they would dominate the prayer letters, and (3) I don’t want to seem to be promoting myself. Just in the last few days, I got two thank-you notes via email, four by text messages, and one by a phone call. Some are grateful for their own personal study, but most of the very grateful people are those who are doing things that are difficult, costly, or sometimes impossible with the usual copyrighted Bible translations. Those things include building the Bible into Bible study tools of various kinds, Bible study apps, devotional books, and derivative works including new Bible translations. It is always good to get confirmation that the World English Bible and many other Bible translations are getting used in many ways.

All of this ministry, and all of the gratitude, of course, ultimately goes to God. However, God, in His wisdom, has chosen to use you, our partners, to pray for us and to fund this ministry. Both of those things are essential. Obviously, even a highly-efficient digital ministry still has costs, including software engineering, linguistic work, computers, software, Internet service, etc. Thank you for your prayers and supporting the work of getting God’s Word out to the world!
