Know Peace

Jesus calming the storm

On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him. A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and asked him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”
He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!”
The wind ceased and there was a great calm.
He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
Mark 4:35-40 (WEB)

Can you relate to the disciples in the boat with Jesus, tossed by a dangerous storm? Current news makes me feel like that. Strife between people makes me feel like that. There is a path to peace when you have God with you. Jesus calmed a storm and gave His disciples a faith lesson. After Jesus went home to be with His Father, He sent us the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Holy Spirit includes peace. Praise God for His peace!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. — Galatians 5:22-23, World English Bible

Please Keep Praying

Thank God for:

Please keep praying for the following aspects of our ministry:

  • Planning our next mission trip to Papua New Guinea (to help the Nali translation team on Manus Island) and Fiji (for the South Pacific Bible Forum) in September and October.
  • More monthly financial partners to cheerfully join us in funding our ministry.
  • That our servers will keep running reliably while I have limited Internet access.
  • Web site upgrades for eBible.org, Solomons.Bible, and Baebol.org.
  • Bible study app development.

How can we pray for you, today?

May God bless you!
