Who doesn’t have any access to a Bible in their own language? According to the Progress.Bible web site, there are still 980 languages spoken on Earth with no Scripture, and nobody working on Bible translations in those languages. Those are represented by the red dots on the map, below. (Click on the map for a bigger version.) There are 2,308 languages without adequate Scripture (yellow dots).
To have access to the Holy Bible in your own language first requires that a Bible translation exists in your language. Then, of course, it requires that you have access to digital and/or printed copies that you can afford and access. And it helps greatly when there are people who go preach the Good News of Jesus Christ, by both precept and example. My work is mostly in the middle, working with Bible translators to help make their Bible translations more widely available.
