South Pacific Bible Forum 2025

The South Pacific Bible Forum was a gathering of 74 people from 30 organizations in 16 countries. We are all collaborating to help eliminate Bible poverty in the South Pacific. We had structured sessions together as well as sharing meals and breaks together. That made time to forge and strengthen relationships, pray together, and discuss ways to help each other. There were many things that came out of the meeting that each were totally worth the trip there. Our prayers for divine appointments were definitely met!

One great thing that came out of this meeting was finding out from Pastor Ma’afu (center in the picture, below) that about 66% of the people on Tonga were using the Revised West Bible Translation on eBible.org. That is a translation that I helped my friend, James Baxley, publish. James is also a World Outreach Ministries missionary who has been living in Tonga. Pastor Ma’afu has some grammar and spelling updates that he will be doing in cooperation with others in Tonga to make that Bible translation even better for modern Tongans.

Much more happened in the last month than fits in this email and the last. If you are curious for a little more, check out these two online picture albums in our flickr account:
