Grateful!

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit all three of our sons at their homes in three different states, as well as visiting with other friends and family. We were able to help Evan and Kaylee with a few much-needed repairs on the boat they are living on, among other things.

I was pleased that I could keep the Bible servers running and do some important updates remotely while we were away from my office. Unfortunately, while we were flying home, the main server in my office died hard such that it wouldn’t even power on when I got home. On the bright side, before we left, one of our friends and supporters told me that he had an extra small computer that he didn’t need that was actually reasonably good, and asked if I wanted it. I said “Yes,” and it was here when I got home. One of the things the dead computer was doing was facilitating Bible translation editing for some Bible translation projects in several different countries, so this week I moved that service over to the “extra” computer and got it working again while I waited for the more capable replacement computer to take on the more demanding (but less time-critical) tasks. I am amazed at God’s timing!

Thank God for:

  • We now have over 483 million deliveries in 1,460 Bible translations on eBible.org and related sites!
  • A good trip to visit family, friends, and the World Outreach Ministries headquarters!
  • All of our public servers kept running while we were traveling, serving out many more Bibles to people all over the world.
  • Provision of a computer to partially replace a failed computer before it failed.

Please keep praying for the following aspects of our ministry:

  • The rest of the work required to replace the remaining functions that were done by the failed computer.
  • Web site upgrades for eBible.org, Solomons.Bible, and Baebol.org
  • Wisdom protecting our computers and servers from hacker attacks
  • Bible study app development

  • Bible translation processing for posting on eBible.org and sister sites.
