Can’t Stop, Yet!

For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky,
and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth,
and makes it grow and bud,
and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,
and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.--Isaiah 55:10-11 World English Bible

If I (Michael) were to “retire”, what would that look like? I’m pretty sure that I would still be driven by the same passion to make God’s Word freely available to as many people speaking as many languages as I possibly can. That would mean doing pretty much the same things I do now. So what would be the point of retiring be, as long as the Lord blesses me with the health and strength to do this work? What could possibly be more rewarding than following the Lord’s leading to distribute His Word, which He promises will do what He sent it to do? In the mean time, I plan to pace myself for a long effort, but still be ready for Jesus to come back at any time!

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.--Philippians 4:8, World English Bible
