Spam Wars and Prayer Letters

We love to keep in touch with those people whom God has called to support us with finances and/or prayer. Email is one way we do that. This is hard for a variety of reasons, including getting caught in the crossfire of the war between those who want to flood our inboxes with junk and those of us who don’t want our good email hidden in a flood of junk. If you don’t want our prayer letters, and are getting them, please reply to one of them with a request to be taken off of our email list. If you are not on our prayer letter email list, and want to be, please email me with your request at the address you get when you combine my first name (Michael) and the domain name of our biggest Bible site (eBible.org) with an “at” sign in between. (Please forgive the coy verbal puzzle, but I have learned that there are people who send bots scraping web pages for email addresses for the purpose of spamming them.) Or you can use our email list sign-up form. Then make sure you white list mail from eBible.org. If you sign up for our email and don’t get any within a month (and usually within a week or two), check your spam filter. Or try adding a different email address. (You can check more than one email address with a good email client, so it isn’t necessarily harder.)

Of course, if you want to pray for us, but don’t want (or can’t get) email from us, check the back issues list at mljohnson.org/news. Or if the Holy Spirit puts you on your heart to pray for us at any time, with or without a prayer letter, please do. Your prayers make more of a difference than you might think.

May God bless you.
