Shadow the brahminy kite. This hawk is a cooler pet than a parakeet, but we don't let him loose in our house. I don't recall seeing any budgies around here, but there is a huge flock of lorikeets that lives near us, and lots of black kites (another kind of hawk about the same size as Shadow) fly overhead. When Shadow was younger, I thought he was a brown falcon, but now his markings are becoming more clear.
Our house and truck
Red-faced beetle
Pointy-nose grasshopper. Papua New Guinea is a great place to come if you are interested in studying how creative our Father is in making bugs of many kinds.
